About
A database for traders.
Tradabase turns the market news that breaks on X into a structured, searchable record — which stocks each story touches, in which direction, and what those stocks did next.
Why it exists
Traders already follow the same handful of fast news accounts. The problem is what happens after a headline scrolls past: there is no record of which names it touched, no easy way to see every story that hit a ticker this week, and no honest scorecard of whether the obvious read turned out to be right.
Tradabase started as one trader's tool to fix that. It keeps the record so you don't have to, and it measures the outcome instead of guessing it.
How it works
- Read. A fixed list of financial news accounts on X, and the SEC's press releases, are checked every two minutes. Every post is kept exactly as written, with its author, time and a link to the original.
- Structure. Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, reads each post and records the US-listed tickers it affects, the likely direction, a magnitude from 1 to 5 and a time horizon. Larger stories get a second pass for knock-on effects. Chart posts from commentators get a written breakdown and a critique of the reasoning.
- Measure. Once prices are available, the move one hour, one trading day and five trading days later is attached to each ticker, with a hit or miss mark on each directional call.
- Summarise. At 10pm Eastern every night, the day's record is written up as a single brief: the main stories, the names hit most often, what moved, and what to watch next.
What members get
- Live tape — every post as it arrives, with its analysis and a running list of the tickers affected.
- Events ledger — the full record, searchable by magnitude, direction, catalyst and horizon, with measured outcomes in line.
- Tickers — names ranked by how often the news mentions them, and a full catalyst history for any US-listed symbol.
- Thesis desk — chart posts broken down and critiqued, with the tickers they implicate.
- Fed — the FOMC calendar, the current target range, and the market-implied odds of each upcoming decision.
- Daily brief and Watchlist — the day in one page, and your own names.
What we hold to
- Shown as posted. Original posts are never edited or paraphrased in place of the source.
- Measured, not estimated. Outcomes come from market prices after the fact. Misses stay on the record next to the hits.
- Analysis, not advice. Tradabase describes what was said and what the price did. It never tells anyone what to buy or sell. See Legal.
